Jamie Olivieri, LMFT

With over 15 years of experience working with children and families in a variety of professional capacities, Jamie’s passion has come to include assisting individuals navigate life transitions, especially family-building challenges. She is a graduate of Mercy's Marriage and Family Therapy program, holds a certificate from the Seleni Maternal Mental Health Institute on Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and Perinatal Grief and Loss. Additionally, Jamie is a New York State certified Rape Crisis Counselor and has done extensive training on the topic of trauma and worked with those who have experienced sexualized trauma and interpersonal violence.

Understanding that as humans we develop in relationship with others, exploring the internalized messages of shame and pride can be helpful to many clients. In her therapeutic work, Jamie takes a Narrative and Collaborative approach, helping clients move toward their best-imagined selves through connection, conversation, and creativity. Jamie brings both warmth and humor to the therapeutic relationship and process while tapping into the unique strengths and experiences of the individual, couple, and family.
